The breakfast meeting with RI’s Principal, Mrs Lim Lai Cheng, on 22 August 2009, was conducted in a casually manner. 21 parents turned up for the event where breakfast was served. Thereafter, Mrs Lim requested each parent to introduce himself/herself, and urged everyone present to voice any concerns they might have on pertinent matters.
As it turned out, the issue of the day was the conflict of CCA schedules with students’ existing work load. There were also questions pertaining to J2’s application to universities, as well as the number of students who qualify for the top universities in the UK and US. RPA is glad to hear that most of our students had done exceedingly well and many have won scholarships to major in various fields. Mrs Lim also shared candidly with parents about past and recent happenings in the school.
Parents were, on the whole, glad to have attended the Breakfast Meeting as it proved to be an insightful one.
